Dave Neto’s passion for motorcycles began when he watched his dad ride British bikes; now, he owns the only motorcycle museum in South Africa. Helderberg Motorcycle Museum has over 200 meticulously-restored bikes ranging from the 1910s to the 1970s, with iconic brands like Motto Guzzi, BSA, Royal Enfield, Harley Davidson and Kawasaki & much more.

Owner Dave Netro has had a passion for bikes since he was a kid.
For the past 15 years, Dave has spent his life restoring these beautiful machines, many of which are in perfect museum condition. His passion shows in every part of the museum, from the well-organised, in-detail displays, music playlists, to the motorcycle-themed restaurant.
“Anything that is unusual that I don’t have, I must have,” said Dave during an interview with Garage Route 21 South Africa.
Bike lovers will geek over the helmets from the 1920s and 1940s and the classic petrol pumps from brands like Esso and Shell.
The walls are adorned with classic pumps and posters of bikes. The nostalgic atmosphere is complete with old enamel signs array of petroliana and automobilia treasures.
