Before

After

The PL series was produced from 1937. A total of about 1400 are said to have been built.

The model should be called PL 250. In 1935, after the victorious campaign in Ethiopia, through which slavery was abolished there, economic sanctions were imposed on Italy. The government, citizens, and business community strove for patriotism in every way and so in late 1936 the PL 250 hit the market. Since it had almost no chrome-plated parts, chrome was very expensive at the time, the price could be kept low.
